The popular FREE orchid-growing classes, for any level of orchid lover, meet at 7 pm, the first Thursday of each month, in Education Station, 8545 S. Staples St. Each month, call 361-852-2100 to reserve a seat for in-person class, masks required; or to get the ZOOM link. Face masks are required in all Botanical Gardens indoor facilities.

Geared to kids, more than 110 bales of hay built a maze challenging young sense of direction. This “hay-mazing adventure”, located near
Monkey Mansion, is open 9 am-6 pm, celebrating fall!
Four weekends of petting zoo, hay rides & SANTA have ended! But we had such crowds, all trees, lights and trim will remain Merry & Bright through Dec. 31st, for visitors & houseguests enjoyment & photos, including the huge lighted fir tree! Hours return to 9am-6pm, CLOSED Dec. 24/25. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Campers will explore the world of parrots, reptiles, butterflies & other nature topics led by Education & Animal Care staff & volunteers. Daily Science investigations, crafts, journaling, more . . .16 campers maximum divide into small groups rotating through different daily adventures!
