TAMU-CC Art Exhibit expands from one class to four for
Spring, 2025 semester!

A South Texas Botanical Gardens/Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi art and nature collaboration which began fall semester, 2024, continues with the spring semester, and four classes rather than one. It’s open to the public, also during “Birdiest Festival in
America,” included in general admission. “Wildlife & Wonder: Coastal Bend Creations ” will be open Saturday, April 19 through Sunday, May 4.

DESIGN II Students, have created 13 concrete pavers with low relief carving of local wildlife or plants–Ian Manseau, Instructor.

CERAMICS I and HAND BUILDING CERAMICS Classes have crafted 30 pieces of ceramic local wildlife sculptures—Dr. Leonel Monsivais, Professor; Mariana Ruvalcaba Cruz, Instructor.
SCULPTURE I Students have built 15 concrete vermiculite sculptures with metal components for support and detail—Johnathan Durham, Professor.

Some of the pieces will be for sale, with 15 percent benefitting the Botanical Gardens & Nature
