A South Texas Botanical Gardens/Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi art and nature collaboration begun fall semester, 2024, continues as four fall semester classes display 58 pieces of sculpture and ceramics.   “Botanical Gardens:  Flow and Bloom,” open to the public, follows a flora and fauna theme.

The exhibit will be open October 24-November 16 in the Hummingbird and Rose Gardens and includes hand-carved vermiculite sculptures, medium to large ceramic sculptures, and detailed ceramic hanging pot planters.  Exhibiting classes are taught by:

Ian Manseau, 3rd year Graduate Instructor, Sculpture I, vermiculite.

Mariana Ruvalcaba Cruz, Adjunct Professor, Sculpture I, vermiculite.

Dr. JinSun Kim, 3rd year Graduate Instructor, Ceramics I.

Emily Roberts, 2nd year Graduate Instructor, Ceramics I.

Some of the pieces will be for sale, with 15 percent benefitting the Botanical Gardens & Nature Center. Contact Michael Womack, wmwomack@stxbot.org, if an exhibit piece speaks to you!
