7TH BIRDIEST FESTIVAL IN AMERICA
April 24-28, 2024
https://www.birdiestfestival.org

You’re running out of time to experience amazing spring migration along the Texas Gulf
Coast in the busiest of U.S. flyways, field trips to famous South Texas ranch and coastal
hot spots; presentations and workshops, bird walks; and Jonathan Wood Raptor Project
shows.

BFIA and “Birdiest City” Corpus Christi got a jump start in November when a CATTLE TYRANT appeared downtown, the first ever sighted north of Panama, supposedly having hitched a ride on a northbound freighter bound for our port!

Well, he’s still here. **Anyone on “Chasing Warblers ” or “Texas Scramble ” trips will visit the Cattle Tyrant, assuming he stays a little longer. Check that rare bird off your list!

ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDED midnight, April 16! If you missed that, register in
person, based on availability of your choices, Wednesday-Saturday, April 24-27, Vendor
Tent, Botanical Gardens, noon-5 pm.

It’s also not too late to reserve a seat for our KEYNOTE SPEAKER, Cameron Cox,
owner of Avocet Birding Courses, birder, photographer, guide and author. He will be
speaking on “The Beauty of Terns,” and his 30 years’ experience in birding! Reception
begins at 5:30 pm, Keynote at 6, in the newly remodeled Education Building, South
Texas Botanical Gardens, 8545 S. Staples. If registered, $15. If not, $20. Make those
reservations at the Vendor Tent, as well.
