HALLOWEEN brings 3 “frightening” experiences to BOO-tanical Gardens!

HAY-MAZE opens Saturday, October 17!
Ocean Drive Garden Club partners with South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature
Center creating the sixth fall “Hay-mazing Adventure,” open 9 am-6 pm, included in
general admission. Built with150 bales of hay, the Garden Club elaborately
decorates for Halloween and arrival of fall weather, changing to Christmas décor by
Thanksgiving!
Youngsters’ sense of direction is challenged by its twists and turns, as parents
keep an eye on kids inside. Hay Maze is near the Children’s Play Area. Although we
thought new “Playscape” would crowd out Hay Maze, there’s room for both!

HAUNTED TRAIL WALKS 8-10 pm, Fridays, October 16, 23, 30!

Ghosts and witches roam Gardens habitat waiting for visitors to come down the
Haunted Trail, where no one knows what might jump out and touch your leg! Staff
who care for snakes & tarantulas guide you. Hayride back for refreshments in Reptile
Room, as your heart rate slows! A scary fundraiser benefitting animal medical care.
(Not recommended for kids under 11.)

$20 tickets for 20-minute sessions must be purchased online in advance.
