Philanthropist Eugene Bouligny challenges select non-profits to raise NEW MONEY, he matches the agreed-upon goal! Our latest Bouligny Challenge is $50,000 which began January 1! Your donation to the Gardens can be doubled; but what constitutes NEW money?A FIRST TIME DONOR—foundation, company or individual.
DIFFERENT PROJECT than before. A brand new Membership, or Gift Membership. A need for help after severe weather. Small donations add up in scattered on-site donation jars. OR a new project!
Since S. Oso Parkway opened, we need additional aluminum perimeter fencing and gates, estimated at $75,000; more cameras and other security equipment.

Our exotic parrots are temporarily OFF DISPLAY as a precaution during spring migration season when wild birds returning back north still may be carrying Avian Flu; and while we finish some repairs. We’re sorry for this inconvenience. Meanwhile, please visit our reptiles and butterflies . . .

We know you’re ready to get your children scheduled for summer camps! Corpus Christi’s favorite indoor/outdoor camp choice is our Botanical Gardens Summer Nature Camps! This summer, in June & July, six camp sessions are available for two age groups, plus Girl Scout Adventure Camp!
Perfect weather, a full moon, eight food stations, superior margaritas, very
popular “Zingy Lemongrass Light“ signature beer, and vibrant sounds of the CLARISSA SERNA BAND headlined our 15th MOONLIGHT in the GARDENS signature fundraiser, Friday, October 27th, presented the ninth year by
CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery. A Fire Dancer rounded out the show!
We’ve redesigned our PRIVATE ENCOUNTERS for longer time periods! Small groups can enjoy fun interactions with THREE reptiles (USDA regulations), with guests holding each animal, giving them snacks, taking photos in private setting. A great party, birthday, anniversary, or friend treat! Fees go to our Veterinary Fund!
For your convenience, we’re providing a schedule of SATURDAY MORNING Horticulture & Environmental Education classes! All begin at 9:30 am, Education Station classroom, with spaced seating for 40. Unless noted, all are covered by that day’s general admission, membership, or $5 each. Make your reservations at 361-852-2100.
Guests visiting Saturdays or Sundays are treated to REP-TALES,10:30 am, on the lawn area. “Kids” of all ages learn relationships between resident reptiles and adapted reptiles we’ve accepted as rescues. Never touched an Iguana? Now’s your chance! If you child isn’t shy, you won’t be either!

Environmental education through nature tourism explains benefits of learning to better share our ecosystem with plant and wildlife.
…our urban oasis of native habitat and natural wetlands on Oso Creek. Our conservation programs involving plants, wildlife and water, include: Endangered Slender Rush Pea, Black-Laced Cactus colonies, Pockets of Wildlife Habitat along Oso Creek, Native Grasses: Highly Structured, Managed & Natural.
Both scenic floral, or more casual outdoor venues—
as well as comfortable indoor spaces are available for MEMBERS to rent throughout the year.
Rental occasions have included weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, grad parties,
corporate or club meetings, team-building functions, local events, lectures or classes, memorial services . . .
during or after regular hours! In spring and summer months, we celebrate weddings almost every weekend!
Prices are reasonable and surroundings memorable for your special occasion!
